Somatic Breath and Imagery Practice

Discover how to connect to your sexual anatomy, create sensations and build arousal using breath, imagery and attention:

Many of the women I work with feel little to no connection or sensation in their vagina, which can lead to feelings of inadequacy, failure, boredom and avoidance of penetrative sex. Others may enjoy sex but feel like something is missing. The truth is, many of us were raised in sexually repressed environments where teachings about pleasure were non-existent (except as a sin), and sex was viewed as something we do for men in an effort to keep them committed. These scripts can interfere with the way that we experience pleasure — but that doesn’t mean that we’re broken. With focused attention, our body can always learn new ways to experience pleasure. Where we focus our attention — grows. If our attention is centered on our partners’ experience, or on an outdated and limited childhood masturbation method, we’re missing out on the vast potential of pleasure we’re capable of experiencing.

Using guided breath and imagery, I will teach you how to focus your attention on your own body — creating pathways of connection and sensation between your brain, heart, vulva, vagina and cervix. You will learn to feel every millimeter of your genitals without touching them and, if you wish, learn how to expand the sensations outwardly bringing arousal, aliveness and energy into your entire body.

Session duration: 1.5hrs
Fee: $225 plus GST

* These sessions involve supportive, non-genital touch only and don’t require nudity. You may however choose to be naked under the sheet, to aid in developing somatic connection.

* For any practice, repetition is necessary to develop and secure the skills. My goal is to teach you how to do this so that you can carry forward the practice into your own life. The amount of sessions needed for it to become an independent practice will depend on many factors, including previous somatic practice/awareness, experience with mindful breathing, history of trauma, ability to down regulate etc. For some, one session will be enough and others may choose to do 2 or more.
